Chakras
CLiC Stands for Conscious Living in Colour and colour is a big part of the program along with mindfulness. The CLiC Chakra Healing Workshops are based around chakras and colours to bring about conscious awareness of our choices and actions and we aim to develop positive associations as we go on a healing journey. The colours are based on the traditional colour spectrum that we identify with a rainbow, it is also the colours of our chakras. Below is a summary of the different days and what we focus on each day in the program.
Root Chakra - Red
On the first week we work with our Root Chakra and focus on the colour red. As it is the base, we work on having a solid foundation and exploring our roots and the environment around us. Our activities will focus on getting us in touch with nature and bringing us close to the element of the root chakra, earth. This week is for exploring our instincts and primal nature and we pay close attention to the most primal sense, smell. Explore essential oils and the benefits they can have on our daily life in a practical and fun workshop and take home your own personal Essential Oils healing mix.
Sacral Chakra - Orange
Week 2 is orange week and we turn surviving into thriving and focus on the Sacral Chakra. This is the pleasure and creativity area. We focus on the element of water and consider how important this substance is for us and how we can flow with things easily in our lives. We explore our emotions and consciously begin working on letting go of past hurts and any feelings of guilt we might carry. Food is the spice of life and we focus on the sense of taste and explore it with pleasure in mind rather than just for survival.
Solar Plexus Chakra - Yellow
Our Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the colour yellow and is the focus for week 3. This chakra motivates us and we will focus on our personal empowerment. We will identify the areas in our lives that are hanging over us, that we procrastinate and set out ways to overcome them. We look at food for its nutritional value and how we can make conscious decisions of what is best for our bodies. Yellow is the colour of sight and we appreciate the beauty of things around us as we explore crystal healing and choose a crystal gift to take home.
Green Day
The Heart is the chakra for the 4th week and it associated with the colour green. We use it to drive feelings of love and compassion and look at forgiveness and charity as ways to balance it. Green is in the middle of the colour spectrum and the heart is in the middle of the chakra, so this week links the worldly experience of the lower energy centres with those of the higher ones. Touch is the sense associated with the heart chakra and we embark on fun activities to explore this.
Blue Day
Week 5 is focussed on the Throat Chakra and the colour blue and helps us look at finding our inner truth and being able to express it. We consciously bring into focus what is important to us and make sure we stand by this by communicating it clearly. We focus on our sense of hearing and explore sound and vibration with an extended sound bath for alignment and healing. We explore the concept of nothingness as the element is ether and consider how small or large we are in this universe.
Purple Day
This week we look at the Third Eye Chakra and surround ourselves with the colour purple. The third eye has been referred to in many ancient cultures and is the pineal gland in our brain, thought to be quite dormant at this modern time. By awakening this third eye we can develop our vision and intuition and start to see things more clearly. Using Ancient Symbol Energy Cards, do a reading and see what you are being told by the universe.
White Day
The Crown Chakra is often associated with the colour violet, but also white – the presence of all colours. White is a divine colour and we look at our connection to a greater power. . Over the course we have worked up the chakras, however we now send energy down as this is how we manifest what we want in our lives. We look at our own special skill sets this week and explore why we are here. In Hinduism this is called our Dharma and we look to connect with this. We will have a closing ceremony and celebration on our final week.
